STARTER SYSTEM
DISASSEMBLY
●
Release the two starter motor case screws, front cover,
rear cover, motor case and other parts.
INSPECTION
●
Inspect the removed parts for wear, damage or
discooration. Replace if necessary.
●
Clean the commutator if there is metal powder between
the seaments.
●
Check for continuity between pairs of the commutator
segments and there should be continuity.
STARTER MOTOR
●
Release the seat lock with the main key.
●
Remove the luggage box.
●
Remove the core tubeband from the carbureter
●
Remove the starter motor cable from the starter
magnetic switch.
●
Loosen the 2 flange bolts securing the engine case,
remove the battery earth cable and starter motor.
●
Install in the reverse order of removal.
