INSPECTIONS / ADJUSTMENTS
●
Check the tread depth at the tire center.
●
If the tread depth has reached the service limit,
replace the tires.
SERVICE LIMIT : FRONT : 5.5mm
REAR : 7.0mm
●
Support the motorcycle securely and raise the front
wheel off the ground.
●
Check that the handlebar moves freely from side to
side to side.
●
If the handlebar moves unevenly, binds or has
vertical movement, inspect the steering head
bearings. (section 13)
STEERING HEAD BEARINGS
Check that the cables do not interfere with
handlebar rotation.
STANDARD PRESSURE
WHEELS/TIRES
Check the tire pressure when the tires have been
cooled off. Check the tread (the part making
contact with the road surface) and side for wear,
cracks or damage. Replace damaged tires.
