18.3.2 Test Modus – Daisy Chain configuration:
Is a daisy chain configuration in place, all hybrid cable connections are checked in this modus.
The test can be done either before or after installation. The foreseen JB 3.x are configured and
connected with the assembled hybrid jumper cables. The Hybrid cable Test Box is positioned at
the end
of the chain instead of the last JB3.x. After that, the full chain is tested, the cable is now
connected to the DL/PDL. The DL/PDL is started (takes max. 2 minutes), after the green lamp
“Operating” is on, the test can be started, see user interaction below.
Caution -
Select the test pattern
Modbus
for testing.
Is the test successful all hybrid cables are assembled correctly and work. If the test fails, the
Hybrid cable Test Box is moved to the second last position of the daisy chain and connected to
the Hybrid Cable - Main Connection of JB 3.x. The test (see User Interaction below) is repeated.
If the test is ok, the last hybrid jumper cable has a failure. If the test is not ok, the Hybrid cable
Test Box is moved to the third last position of the daisy chain and the procedure is repeated
accordingly.
