9.3.5 Mobile configuration
To position the mobile data antenna at the best place with the maximum signal strength; we
recommend measuring the RF-signal before starting the mobile data connection, please see
chapter diagnostics 18.1.
The above mask has 2 sections:
“SMS” entry field, please add in the mask:
Enabled: if you enable the SMS service, it is possible to send alarm messages via SMS
to the recipient. Which alarm is forwarded can be configured in Alarm menu.
Enter the mobile number of the alarm message recipient; make sure that the format
follows the international requirements.
In the transport field, there are the following options:
Modem: the SMS is forwarded via the GSM-Module directly to the recipient.
Internet SMS services:
Further it is possible to send SMS via Internet without GSM-Module. For this features
one of the commonly used services (BulkSMS, Clickatell, Extexting) can be subscribed.
Username, password and API ID are information provided by the Internet-SMS service
provider!
Send Test SMS: check the functionality and sends a test SMS
Enter SIM PIN if a GSM-
module is added in the system
(see also chapter 8.6).
