9. ELECTRICAL
CONNECTIONS
9.1
Before connecting the power cables to the terminals L1 - L2 - L3 of the insulating switch, ensure that the main
switch on the power distribution panel is in OFF position (0) and that no one can switch on the power
accidentally.
9.2
Scrupulously observe all the regulations in force concerning safety and accident prevention.
9.3
Ensure that all the terminals are fully tightened, paying particular attention to the earth
terminal.
9.4
Connect the cables to the terminal board as indicated in the wiring diagrams in the instructions manual.
9.5
Check that all the connecting cables are in excellent condition, with the external sheathing unbroken.
9.6
Check that the differential switch that protects the system is of the correct dimensions.
Provide automatic protection against short circuits of the supply line.
9.7
The system must be correctly and safely earthed as required by the regulations in force.
9.8
Make the safety checks in compliance with standard EN 60204-1.
10. SUPPLYING
POWER
TO THE CONTROL PANEL
After having correctly performed the steps described above, turn the switches ref. SA1, SA2, SA3 and SA4 to
position 0 and close the door of the control panel. Supply power to the control panel, switching on the main switch
on the distribution panel. Turn on the isolating switch ref. QS1 located on the panel door.
The electropumps are not fed.
11.
STARTING THE SET
1.
Turn the switch ref. SA1 to MAN position. The electropump P1 (or the pilot electropump) is fed as long as the
manual impulse lasts.
Repeat the operation with the remaining switches ref. SA2, SA3 and SA4, as long as the manual impulse lasts.
2.
ATTENTION:
if the motor is turning contrary to the correct direction, it is necessary to invert the
leads of the terminals L2 and L3 of the supply line.
Switch off the power to the distribution panel before performing the operation.
3.
Avoid starting the system by turning the door blocking isolating switch (ref. QS1) with the
MANUAL-0-AUTOMATIC operation switches (ref. SA1-SA2-SA3-SA4) in automatic
position
(
).
4.
Turn the switches ref. SA1, SA2, SA3 and SA4 toAUTOMATIC position and check their operation according
to the parameters set in the control unit “Pumps Controller”.
12. OPERATION OF THE SET WITH THE
“PUMPS CONTROLLER”
ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT
When the switches ref. SA1, SA2, SA3 and SA4 are turned to AUTOMATIC position, the electronic control unit
“Pumps Controller” prepares the operation of the set as follows:
Starting and rotation of the electropumps.
The functionality of the unit and the set parameters are shown on the display (see tab. 14).
Protection of the electropumps with indication in the list of alarms and remote signalling in the event of:
lack of water,
overpressure,
lack of signal from the pressure transmitter,
motor overload.
Checking of the operating hours of each electropump with remote signalling of maintenance.
By setting the parameters (see tab. 17), provision of 4 types of set operation:
1 pilot elect 3 electropumps (1.P.P. + 3P),
1 pilot elect 2 electr 1 backup electropump (1P.P. + 2P. + 1P.S.),
4 electropumps (4P),
3 electr 1 backup electropump (3P: + 1P.S.).
The “Pumps Controller” control unit may be programmed according to two different “keys”, that is two
different numerical codes, which correspond to DAB STANDARD programming (Dab standard key) or DAB
EXTENDED programming (Dab extended key) as indicated in tables 16 and 17.
