Bundle n° :
Example of Bundle n°101 in CES mode for the analog interface n°1 :
Note that a short description popup message appears when the mouse passes over a parameter.
TX, RX Bundle number:
These numbers must match with the remote equipment Bundle numbers. The RX bundle number must be unique in the local device as it
is assigned to the physical port that shall receive the Bundle.
Source IP Address:
This IP address is assigned to the Bundle number: it is used for transmitting the Bundle packet over the IP network.
Destination IP Address:
Conversely, this is the IP address of the remote equipment (remote IP1 or IP2 address).
Destination main MAC address:
On an Ethernet only network this defines the remote equipment Ethernet MAC address.
IP routing is used in most cases: this address should be left empty to 0:0:0:0:0:0, and the remote equipment address is then discovered by
the ARP discovery protocol.
Next Hop IP:
This is the IP gateway specifically for this Bundle. It may be used if the remote equipment is not in the same IP network which requires a
routing process. This address must be configured with the same subnet mask as the source IP address of the Bundle. If it is not given the
default gateway will be used.
Differential time:
This parameter defines the size of the receive jitter buffer. This buffer stores a number of received bundle packets equivalent to the
expressed jitter delay. The equipment will continue to feed the analog or E1 interface from the jitter buffer if it does not receive packets
from the Ethernet network during this delay. An under-run situation occurs when the buffer gets empty and no further packets are received.
This delay buffer increases the end-to-end transfer delay between the two CIP-ALLs.
Max buffer size:
Defines the maximum jitter buffer size: 0 to 512,000 µs. Must be 16 characters minimum in case of Bundle 0 on the analog port.
If this size is set to 0: the Bundle will automatically define the size with the remote device. This automatic mode is recommended in most
cases.
