MOD080A
Tighten the fuel tank cap securely after
filling the tank.
Recommended Fuel
Fuel for 32° F (0° C)
and Above
Acceptable fuels for temperatures above
freezing are diesel #2 (DF2) and #1
(DF1); winter diesel or winterized diesel;
EN590; biodiesel containing up to 10%
biofuel; and JP-8.
NOTE: Some biofuels have a
cloud point near or above freezing
and should not be used if tempera-
tures could reach below 32° F
(0° C). Biodiesel B10 does not have
the shelf life of DF1 and DF2. Bio-
diesel decreases the amount of
time between service intervals.
Fuel for Below 32° F
(0° C)
Only use DF1 or specific winter fuels.
Fuels not refined specifically for winter
operation can form paraffin which can
cause the fuel flow to be stopped. Famil-
iarize yourself with the winter fuels in the
vehicle operation area and only attempt
vehicle operation above the winter fuel’s
cloud point. Operation below the fuel’s
cloud point could result in complete fuel
system gelling.
Recommended Engine Oil
The recommended oil to use is synthetic
engine oil, which has been specifically
formulated for use in the engine. Although
Cushman synthetic engine oil is the only
oil recommended for use in this engine,
use of any API-certified SM 5W-50 oil is
acceptable.

! WARNING
Do not overflow fuel when filling the
fuel tank. A fire hazard could materi-
alize. Always allow the engine to cool
before filling the fuel tank.
! WARNING
Do not overfill the fuel tank.
CAUTION
JP-8 fuel reduces power and a reduc-
tion in the life of fuel system compo-
nents is possible.
CAUTION
Any oil used in place of the recom-
mended oil could cause serious
engine damage. Do not use oils which
contain graphite or molybdenum addi-
tives. These oils can adversely affect
clutch operation. Also, not recom-
mended are racing, vegetable, non-
detergent, and castor-based oils.
