FUNCTIONAL CHECKOUT
FOR SYSTEMS USING A 1208 PCU:
Power-up the LAMPII as follows:
1. Turn ON the transporter controller.
2. Turn ON the lateral PCU (P/N LM340). The
LED should be green, indicating that a non-
steerable transporter has been detected.
3.
Turn ON the multi-conductor PCU (P/N PC600).
Set the light voltage to 150-160 volts.
It is important to perform a functional checkout prior to placing the LAMPII in the pipe. The checkout is
designed to uncover possible functional problems while the LAMPII is still on the surface. It is recommended
that one technician view the monitor located inside the TV inspection vehicle to confirm the movements
of the LAMPII while another technician performs the functional checkout.
