3.4.6.1 Port-Based VLAN
Port-based VLAN can effectively segment one network into several broadcast domains,
Broadcast/Multicast and unknown packets will be limited to within the VLAN. Port-Based
VLAN is uncomplicated and fairly rigid in implementation and is useful for network
administrators who wish to quickly and easily set up VLAN so as to isolate the effect of
broadcast packets on their network.
Click the option
Configure VLAN
from the
Port-Based VLAN
menu and then the following
screen page appears.
Use
Edit
to view and edit the current VLAN setting, then the following screen page appears.
Click
Delete
to remove port-based VLAN setting.
VLAN Members:
Tick the checkbox(es) if you would like to allow the port(s) belong to the
VLAN specified.
