3. Set up QoS queuing mode.
Queuing-mode command
Parameter Description
Switch(config)# qos queuing-
mode [weight]
[weight]
By default, “weight” queuing mode is used.
If you want to use “strict” queuing mode,
you need to disable “weight” queuing
mode.
Strict mode:
This indicates that services
to each egress queues are offered based
on rates specified. Use
“
qos rate-limit
egress [0-7] [rate]
”
to specify egress rate
in Strict mode.
Weight mode
: This mode enables users
to assign different weights to 4 queues.
Use
“
qos queue-weighted [0-4]
”
to specify
egress rate in Weight mode.
No command
Switch(config)# no qos queuing-mode
Set the queuing mode to Strict mode.
Show command
Switch(config)# show qos
Show or verify QoS configurations.
Queuing-mode example
Switch(config)# qos queuing-mode weight
Change the queuing mode from strict to
weight.
