The reflected power should be less then 10% of the transmitted power. If it is not the quality
of the match to the load (antenna) is poor and should be rectified by shutting the system
down and following the procedures for waveguide installation in the
“Unpacking and
Installation”
chapter.

Perform the power and gain test located in the
“Maintenance”

Press the STANDBY key and verify that the main screen has reverted to the standby state
and that no fault message is shown.

Switch off all circuit breakers. This concludes the initial power on and checkout procedure.

IP and CIF Setup
Setting up the IP and CIF will enable the operator to control the unit remotely through a local
area network (LAN) or a remote control panel. Remote operation can be performed through a
web browser. Refer to the “
Operation”
chapter for details.

Setup
Press the

key to display the menu screen. Cursor over to the
IP SETUP
using the arrow
keys and push
ENTER
.
The IP address, mask, and gateway can be set in this submenu. The
simple mail transfer protocol (SMTP) server and the network time protocol (NTP) server
address can be set.

Amp control, amp address, CIF serial type, and CIF protocol can be set to the
operators’ preference and will enable communication through J7 at the rear of the Indoor SSPA.
4.4.6 Activating
Computer
Control
The interface parameters of the Indoor SSPA must been set to match those of an external
computer system. Computer control can be activated from either a local control panel or a
remote control panel. Pressing
MENU
key and scrolling over to the
SETUP
allows the user to set
either LOCAL or REMOTE mode. For more details on communicating locally or remotely refer
to the
“External Interfaces”
chapter.
