Running a program
Click on
(Restart
Restart). This runs the DPL program from the beginning
(ie. at the
INITIAL
task). The Task Manager buttons for the tasks present in
the program are made active.
Stopping the program
Click on
(Pause
Pause).
Resuming the program
Click again on
(Pause
Pause).

Program monitoring and debugging facilities
Single-stepping
Single-stepping executes only one line of a DPL program at a time. By using
single-stepping, the operation of a program can be monitored instruction-
by-instruction. During single-stepping, all other tasks may run at full speed.

Click on the appropriate Task Manager button, as follows:
INITIAL
task
BACKGROUND
task
CLOCK
task
ENCODER
task
SPEED
task
This halts the selected task. (The
EVENT
task cannot be
single-stepped.)

Repeatedly clicking on the appropriate Task Manager button will
advance the execution point to the next line.
Clear single-
stepping
Use either of the following methods to clear the single-stepping function:
•
Hold down the Ctrl
Ctrl key and click on the appropriate Task Manager
button.
•
Open the Run
Run menu and select the appropriate Run Task
Run Task option.
