Hardware Installation

The installation procedures assume that you will be making a peer-to-peer connection between your

camera and a computer.

Make sure that the following items are available before starting the installation

  LEO USB3.0 Area scan camera

Make sure the camera and IPC or other transmission device have normally connected via Micro

USB3.0

B Type

cable.

As applicable, a C-mount lens for the camera.

You  should  perform  the  software  installation  procedure  first  and  the  hardware  installation

procedure second.

Steps

Mount C-Mount lens on the camera

Mount the camera in your test setup

Connect the camera to the computer via USB3.0 cable

LEO Series Industrial camera with USB3.0 interface

to ensure the transmission rate bandwidth of

Real-time image, the USB3.0 cable is required.

Following power supply modes are available

DC power supply: Use 6pin I/O cable

follow the correct instructions to connect the power

adapter

  USB power supply

USB cable to power the camera, you need to connect the camera to the

USB3.0 interface

Driver Check

It is necessary to check whether the IPC correctly install the driver

which to connect to the camera.

The camera client software cannot find the camera if the driver installation failed.

Check Camera Driver

After installing the client software on the IPC and connecting the camera, the system will detect new
hardware, also to search and automatically install the hardware driver.
After  the  installation,  you  will  find  the  new  device  type  “VisionDatum  USB3  Vision  Camera”  in  the
system device manager.
Right-click to check whether the device driver installation correctly.
