To cut a workpiece, pull the tool toward you
(not by pushing away from you). Align the notch on
the base with your cutting line. Push down the front
handle gently until it stops and then pull the tool
slowly.
Before finishing cutting operation and raising the
tool, switch it off first. Wait until the diamond
wheels stop completely and then raise the tool.
Remove the remaining portion between the two
blade passages by other appropriate tools.
Switch on and off
To start the machine, depress the lock-off button
and then depress the trigger switch and keep it
depressed.
To switch off the machine, just release the trigger
switch.
NOTE:
In order to reduce the starting current and
reduce the switch-on reaction, the machine is
equipped with soft start.
The tool is also fitted with over-load and thermal
protection. When the motor is overloaded or
overheated it will stop. Switch the tool off
immediately and allow it to cool for 15 minutes
before restarting.
CAUTION! Always run the
machine at no load for at least 30
seconds before starting work.
Damaged, out-or-round or
vibrating diamond cutting discs
may not be used.
CAUTION:
Allow the disc to come to a complete
standstill before setting the wall chaser down.
Use the auxiliary handle where possible to gain
extra control and to prevent fatigue.
Hold the tool firmly to control the tool.
To prolong the life of the tool never overload it.
General cutting
Hold the machine with both handles.
Set down the machine on the front edge of the base
plate and chaser roller in such a manner that the
cutting discs do not touch the workpiece.
Switch the machine on, slowly lower it and plunge
into the material.
Work with moderate feed, suited to the material
being worked, while paying attention to the cutting
direction.
At the end of the cut, pivot the running cutting discs
out of the grooves and switch the machine off.
WARNING.
The machine must always be used
cutting upwards, never moves the machine
downwards! Otherwise there is a danger of it being
pushed uncontrolled out of the cut.
WARNING.
Do not reduce the speed of the cutting
discs when slowing down by applying sidewards
pressure.
NOTE.
When working with 2 cutting discs always
replace them in pairs
WARNING.
The mounted discs protrude out of the
protective cover. Therefore, never set down the
machine on the discs, but on the side.
Completing the cut
After c utting the slot each side of the channel
remove the part in the centre using the supplied
chisel.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

moistened with soapy water. Never use solvents
such as petrol, alcohol, ammonia water,
etc. These solvents may damage the plastic parts.
Lubrication
The machine requires no additional lubrication.

The carbon brushes must be checked on a
regular basis.
_ Remove the carbon brush holders and
clean the carbon brushes.
_ In case of wear, replace both carbon brushes at
