5. Change over the operating mode [
MODE ]
The devices CV Mobil 4012 and CV
Mobil 8012 have the operating modes
AM/FM.
During the switching on of these devices,
the operating mode is always set on FM.
Press the button (6) [MODE] to switch the
device to the operating mode AM. The
operating mode is shown on the LEDs (9)
at CV Mobil 4012 and on the LCD (10) at
CV Mobil 80012.
6. Transmitting
Press the transmitting button (2) in the
microphone for transmission and while
you are speaking. The LED transmission
control (12) [TX] appears at CV Mobil
4012. The LCD of CV Mobil 8012
appears [TX] and the internal S-meter
indicates additionally the relative trans-
mitter output power. You should speak
into the microphone from approx. 5 cm
distance. Speak with a normal volume.
Speaking too loud or too soft will aggra-
vate communication. Release the spea-
king button immediately when you are
finished with your announcement. The
device switches back to receiving opera-
tion. The LED receiving control (11) [RX]
shines at CV Mobil 4012.
8. Priority channel 9 [ CH9 ]
Press the button [CH9] (5) for a fast sel-
ection of channel 9 for reception and
transmission. Channel 9 is shown on the
channel display. As long as this function
is chosen (except while pressing the PTT
button), no entering can be carried out.
Press [CH9] button again to switch back
to the channel which was selected before

operated on 40 channels with FM accor-
ding to the European standard ETS 300

Note!
Since the devices CV Mobil 4012 and CV
Mobil 8012 have the operating modes
AM/FM, you cannot change the recei-
ving sound;
M1 = AM / M2 = FM .
7. Channel-search run [ SCAN ]
Before the channel search run is started,
the muting control [SQUELCH] (8) has to
be set as described under Section "2". If
the muting control is open, the device
cannot fulfil the search function nor the
stop function. Press the button [SCAN]
(7) to start the channel search run in
ascendong order. The channel run will
stop at the first occupied channel. Here,
the muting control will be opened auto-
matically through signal-strength. The
run is finished. In the LC-display of CV
Mobil 8012 the symbol [SC] appears
while the function is active.
9. Calling signal
If the calling-signal button (1) is pressed,
a calling signal is transmitted which can
only be heard in the remote station,
given that the station is set on the same
channel and operating mode.

Installation d'une antenne radio pour CB
L'antenne constitue une des parties les plus importantes d'une installation radio. Le
choix de l'antenne et le site de montage jouent un rôle important pour la portée
maximale de votre système radio. Tenez compte des critères suivants lors de la
détermination de l'endroit de montage de votre antenne. De façon générale :
- l'antenne doit être adaptée pour la radiotélégraphie sur 27 MHz
- si possible, le site de l'antenne doit être situé le plus haut possible et à un endroit
non obstrué
- le câble de l'antenne ne doit pas être endommagé et les fiches doivent être rac-
cordées de façon convenable
- aites attention de ne pas coincer le câble de l'antenne
- les antennes d'une longueur mécanique plus élevée ont une portée plus grande.
Lors de l'installation d'une antenne mobile, tenez compte des choses suivantes :
• l'antenne doit être montée au centre d'une partie de carrosserie assez grande
• le pied de l'antenne mobile doit être mis en contact avec une surface métallique
hautement conductrice de la tôle de la carrosserie automobile.
Outre le montage « fixe » d'une antenne mobile nécessitant le perçage d'un trou
dans la carrosserie de votre véhicule, il y a d'autres possibilités, par ex. le montage
dans la rainure du toit, le montage sur le couvercle du coffre à l'aide d'un support, la
fixation d'un pied aimanté ou d'une antenne à disque.
• Evitez que les câbles, y inclus les cables d’antennes, soient plus longs que 3 mèt-
res.
