5.23 Bottom Access Cover
Perform the following procedure to remove the PCI backplane:
1. Extend the chassis for service (see Section 5.2).
2. Loosen the two captive screws
™ that secure the rear edge of the bottom access cover š to
the bottom of the chassis (see Figure 5-22).
3. Pull the rear edge of the bottom access cover down and to the rear until the front edge
comes out of the opening and remove the bottom access cover (see Figure 5-22).
To replace the bottom access cover, refer to Figure 5-22 and reverse steps 1 through 3 of the
removal procedure.
