Compaq ES40CSLP Rackmount System Installation/User/Service Guide 5–13

5.11 Power Supply

The system must be powered down and the power cord disconnected from the power supply ac
input receptacle before performing the power supply removal and replacement procedures.
Perform the following procedure to remove the power supply:

1.

At the rear of the chassis, loosen the four captive screws

that secure the power supply

to the chassis (see Figure 5-10).

2.

Grasp the two handles

on the power supply and pull the power supply out of the chassis

until the tabs

on the power supply fall into the notches on the support bracket (see

Figure 5-10).

3.

Lift the power supply and remove it from the chassis.

To replace the power supply, refer to Figure 5-10 and reverse steps 1 through 3 of the removal
procedure.
