Define channels as recorders
In order that speech recording is possible, the desired channels have to be configured as recorders
beforehand. For these channels, configure the
as “trigger” for the corresponding
“dial number” to activate speech recording on the VoIP server. This also means that this “dial number”
is configured as “call number” (
see also ”Trigger: auto-dialler mode”
).
Switching recorders parallel
It is possible to define one or more channels as master recorder as well as recorders, which are
switched in parallel to these master recorders (
see also ”Avoiding double recordings” on page 35
)
.
If an audio signal shall be recorded, the master recorder will be used by default. If this recorder is
busy (if this recorder is already in use), the next idle recorder will be used for the respective record-
ing.
The order in which the recorders are used is specified by the respective slot positions of the appro-
priate Gx-IAX card in the Intercom Server (“1” to “14”).
Define subscribers for speech recording
After the channels are defined as recorders, these recorders can be allocated to the respective sub-
scribers whose e.g. conversations shall be recorded. This means, as soon as a certain audio signal is
switched to this subscriber (
see “Available audio signals for speech recording”
), the recording of this
audio signal starts via the selected recorder.

The following audio signals can be recorded (via a Gx-IAX card):
Conversations
Alarms
All calls and group calls
Conferences and radio conferences
Restrictions when recording in a network (S0)
At S0 networks, there are restrictions when recording two subscribers within the same Intercom
Server.
ATTENTION: Telephony functions
The channels configured as recorders will not be available for ordinary telephony functions anymore.
ATTENTION: Recording analogue subscribers
The recording of a conversation between two analogue subscribers of the same Intercom Server is not
possible.
ATTENTION: Recording radio conferences
Speech recording in combination with the function “reception of multiple radio conferences” (see
manual “
PRO 800 Basic
”) is not possible. Only the radio channel, which has been switched on
first, will be recorded.
