Audio streaming

Trigger: auto-dialler mode

In order that audio streaming via a channel of a Gx-IAX card is possible, the functionality of the

“Auto-

dialler mode”

 is used.

The appropriate dial number for activation of an audio streaming function is used similar to a “call
number” (for configuration via CCT 800). This “dial number” is dialled automatically (e.g. when start-
ing speech recording). This applies to both available streaming methods,

“Audio mixing for speech re-

cording”

 and

“Audio streaming by feed-in (4T, 6T)”

.

Audio mixing for speech recording

Via the Gx-IAX card, it is possible to mix the microphone and loudspeaker signal in order that these
signals can be easily recorded on the VoIP server.

ATTENTION: Audio streaming

In order to use the audio streaming function, a corresponding pre-configuration of the VoIP server is
required.

GOOD TO KNOW: VoIP – audio streaming

For each audio streaming function, appropriate scripts on the VoIP server have to be programmed
with a corresponding dial number for activation of the respective script (e.g. for recording audio).

NOTE: Audio bandwidth

For all audio streaming functions, observe that the available audio bandwidth of the Gx-IAX card is
3.4 kHz (G.711 a-law).

ATTENTION: Server restart

At restart of the VoIP server, a stream across a channel of the Gx-IAX card will be cancelled.
