If a point-to-point connection is used, parallel connections between the Intercom Servers are pos-
sible (

).

The Intercom Server is connected to the ISDN Basic Rate Interface (point-to-multipoint or point-
to-point configuration,
see ”System Configuration” on page 7
) as only equipment.
This is the optimal configuration, because the Intercom Server always has a free line available.
Problems may occur with a PABX system, if the PABX system does not transfer the number of a
caller exactly the way it would be necessary to call in the other direction. With some systems pro-
blems may occur with the exchange number for dialling out.
