Requirements of the ISDN Basic Rate Interface
Point-to-multipoint (MSN) or point-to-point (PABX) configuration (
).
The services “Telephony“ (speech) and “UDI“ (data) must be activated.
The own number has to be indicated at the caller: no permanent “calling line identification restric-
tion“! Temporary calling line identification restriction (CLIR) may be activated.
Please notice that the permanent “calling line identification restriction“ will be automatically ac-
tivated e.g. if you order a “secret number“.
Per speech channel between two Intercom Servers one ISDN Basic Rate Interface is required, that
means it is not possible to have two conversations with one Basic Rate Interface (as usually with
ISDN). To each G8-S0 two ISDN Basic Rate Interfaces can be connected (that means two speech
links), to each G3-S0-I one ISDN Basic Rate Interface (one speech links).
