On the G3-S0-I not all components are mounted as above, including the LEDs “S0 2”.
Status S0-card (“RUN“):
LED blinks in a rhythm of one second: the card is working correctly.
LED is permanently off: no power, reset or hardware fault.
LED is permanently on: waiting for connection to the main processor
(during initialising).
LED blinks fast: card inserted in wrong slot.
Status 1st S0 and 2nd S0:
B1 and B2 are on: Layer 1 monitoring ok *
B1 and B2 are off: Layer 1 monitoring not activated or a fault has occurred *
B2 blinks in a rhythm of one second: The 1st B-channel is connected (data transfer), chargeable time
is running for one connection.
B1 blinks in a rhythm of one second: The 2nd B-channel is connected (speech transfer), chargeable
time is running for a second connection.
* Layer 1: The Telecom provider offers the service “Layer 1 monitoring“ for the Point-to-multipoint
connection. The line is monitored for functionality and synchronisation.
System Configuration
One possibility for remote configuration is to install a modem for each Intercom Server.
A maximum of 100 Intercom Servers can be connected via S0.
A maximum of 120 Intercom Servers in the NET/S0/CNET network.
If several housings are connected over G8-NET or CNET, all G8-S0 / G3-S0-I must be inserted in one
housing.
There are 2 possibilities of S0 configuration:
1. MSN (Point-to-Multipoint)
Per Intercom Server only one conversation to another Intercom Server can be made.
Single ISDN basic rate interfaces can be reserved for connection to a specific Intercom Server (
