SmartLF Gx Service Manual

Replacing Main Timing Belt.

Remove Left Hand End Cover as described in chapter 5.1

"Removing Left Hand End Cover" page 7.

Loosen the M4 nut on the end of the tension bar, which will

loosen the belt. Slide the belt off the tension bar.

Remove the belt from the roller drive pulleys and motor pulley.

The belt can not be totally removed at this point if the scanner

is a GxT but can be if it is the standard lid.
