Head Slant Test (Angle Test)
The head slant test or angle test checks whether the print head is properly placed on the head plate or not. There
are several reasons through which print head is not parallel to the printing platform. Sometimes, it may happen
that screws on the print head are not fixed or tighten correctly. In this way, printer head is slightly upward from
the front or rear edge, as shown below:

Generally, the test pattern will print from right to left and left to right. The user can refer to the single line and
color bar to verify if the surface of the print head is horizontal with printing platform. If the result is like picture 2,
it means the front of the print head is higher than the back. On the other hand, if the printing result is like picture
3, it means the back side is higher than the front. There are several reasons due to which the printing quality gets
hampered. The most basic reason is that printing platform is not smooth enough. To verify the situation, the user
can try to print the same on the different position of the platform.
Note
: To deeply observe the test result, the user must use the magnifying lens.
Head Interval Check
The Head Interval check is shown in the image below:

This test is performed on two heads machine. In the above figure, the trapezoid printed by the first print head and
another by the second print head should match exactly with each other. The distance of last line printed by the
first print head and the first line printed by second print head should be same as the lines that is printed by the
print head internal nozzles. Otherwise, you need to adjust 2
nd
print head position front or back.
Note
: After performing the physical test (includes Head Interleave, Head Slant, and Head Interval), the position of
the print head gets changed. Re-check the print head position and adjust the Captop. After this, again perform
the nozzle test and head cleaning method to verify the result.
