In any installation, it is paramount to have the
right tools handy for the job. The following is a list
of the tools required for successful installation of
your closet system.
INSTALLATION TOOLS
1.
First remove existing poles and shelves.
1.1
Start in the corner of the closet and pull the cleat first
off the side wall, and continue by removing the cleat
from the back wall.
1.2
To remove caulked or adhesive shelving from the wall,
use a razor/utility knife around the outside of all cleats
and shelves. This will aid in preventing sheet rock
from unnecessarily being torn from the wall, as well as
reducing the amount of chipped paint.
1.3
If your previous shelving unit consisted of wire
shelving, use pliers to remove clips, screws, and wires
attached to the wall.
1.4
In order for your closet to look its best, Spackle
any holes and re-paint prior to proceeding with
installation of your new system.
2.
Unpack your new closet system.
2.1
First, open
the package
and locate the
box labeled
“hardware.” This
will contain
