General Safety Instructions
Designated Use
This tool is intended to be used as a hand held sander using
appropriate abrasives. It is always recommended that the
tool be used in a standing position and firmly gripped using
two hands.
Do not modify the tool, any guard, or accessory unless
approved in writing by Apex Tool Group, LLC.
Any abuse or misue of this tool or the abrasive
can be extremely dangerous. The abrasive
used with this tool are not manufactured or
supplied by Apex Tool Group, LLC. Consult
and comply with the safety practices provided
by the abrasive manufacturer.
Putting into service
Only fully trained personnel should install, adjust, operate,
or repair this tool.
Air supply
Connect the tool to a clean lubricated air supply capable of
providing a measured maximum air supply of 90 psig at the
tool with the tool running and the lever fully depressed. Use
a 3/8” I.D. air hose with a maximum length of 25 feet. Make
certain an air shut off valve is installed within reach of the
tool’s workspace.
If the air supply is not equipped wth an airline lubricator the
tool must be manually lubricated. To manually lubricate the
tool, disconnect the air supply line at the tool and place 2-3
drops of suitable air line oil into the inlet fitting of the tool.
Manually lubricate the tool daily or if the tool begins to slow
down or lose power.
