Standard Mode or Office Communicator/Lync Mode
: Chooses between either Standard USB Mode
or Office Communicator Mode (used only with Microsoft Office Communicator or Microsoft Lync).
The USB Configuration is used to define the function of the “PC” button on the wired and wireless
controllers. When in Standard Mode, the PC button and the Telephone button on the controller have the
same function. In this mode, the controller is always used to initiate Telco calls, regardless of whether the
“PC” or “Telephone” button has been pressed.
However, when the USB Configuration is set to Office Communicator Mode, pressing the “PC” button
on the controller allows the controller to dial Office Communicator or Lync calls when OC or Lync are
running on the connected PC. When in this mode, the status displayed on the controller changes to
“Lync” when the “PC” button is pressed.
