SETTING THE FAN SPEED
The ISOCAN system displays the fan speed on the drill.
The ISOCAN system has been pre-set with a ‘Low fan limit’ and a ‘High fan limit’ which will alarm if the
fan runs either above or below the recommended speed. Being above or below will have an impact on
the drilling performance, ensure the speed remains within this margin. The fan speed is adjusted from the
tractor by increasing or decreasing the hydraulic flow output to the fan motor from the tractor there is
no physical adjustment on the drill. It is possible that the fan speed will need to be adjusted according to
the seed rates, density and size of seeds being drilled. There are no recommended settings it is purely user
defined to achieve the best results for your requirements. An ideal guide would be to set the fan between
3500 RPM and 4000 RPM for most crops.
