provides information for adding an IPv6
address to an interface.

The
Add IPv6 Address Interface Page
contains the following fields:

Interface — Indicates the interface to which the address is added. The
possible field value is:

VLAN
— Indicates the VLAN for which the address is added.
•
IPv6 Type — Displays the IPv6 Type. The possible field values are:
-
Link-Local — Indicates the IPv6 address is link-local.

Global Unicast — Indicates the IPv6 address is global Unicast.
•
IPv6 Address — Indicates the IPv6 address assigned to the interface. Up to
five IP addresses can be set per interface, with the limitation that up to 128
addresses can be set per system.
The address must be a valid IPv6 address,
specified in hexadecimal using 16-bit values between colons.
•
Prefix Length — Specifies the length of the IPv6 prefix. The range is 5 -128 (64
in the case EUI-64 parameter is used). The
Prefix
field is applicable only when
the IPv6 Static IP Address is defined as an Global IPv6 Address.
