Overview of the 3DPIXA connections, markers and status LED
On the back side of the camera you will find the following interfaces and information:
Fig. 20: 3DPIXA connections, markers and status LED
1
Marker which indicates the forward direction of the 3DPIXA
2
Type plate with serial number
3
Multi-color LED for indicating the allPIXA pro camera status
4
Serial port (serial RS 232 D-Sub 9 female, Config UART) for additional communication
(e.g. configuration signals) between the allPIXA pro camera and the PC
5
Power connection (Hirose HR10A-7R-6P, male) for power supply
6
Digital port (IO interface D-Sub 15 female) for the incremental encoder signal, light
barriers and other freely-programmable inputs and outputs. For Dual 3DPIXA cameras
only the IO interface of the master camera has to be used.

Camera Link ports (port 1 and 2) for image signaling and for communication between
the 3DPIXA pro camera and the PC
The procedure for connecting the CameraLink cables and connecting the power supply for
3DPIXA compact and 3DPIXA dual is described below.
If using a USB to Serial converter for the connection via RS232 it is recommended to use
a converter with FTDI chipset (Prolifix chipsets may generate problems while connecting
to the camera).
