How to clean
External Projector
Covers
As required
CLEAN:
Clean dust from external covers
using a clean, lint-free cotton cloth as
required.
NOTE:
Before cleaning the
modules, it is recommended that you install
the lens cap. This will keep dust particles
from settling on the glass surface of the
lens.
The optional IR remote uses two AA size - 1.5V alkaline batteries.
1.
Turn the remote over to access the backside cover.
2.
Place your index finger or thumb in the cover’s finger groove and push out, as
shown in
c
Figure 4.1.
3.
Remove the old batteries and properly dispose them.
4.
Insert the remote’s new batteries in the proper positive/negative orientation as
indicated by the etching in the bottom of the compartment. See
d
Figure 4.1.
5.
Replace the cover – ensure the tabbed end is correctly inserted before snapping
the opposite end into place.
Figure 4.1. Replacing Remote Batteries
The RPMX/RPMSP-D120U projector includes 2 100/120W UHP lamps and the
RPMSP-D275U projector includes two 275W UHP lamps; however, only one lamp
is operated at any given time. The other lamp is held in reserve until the user chooses
to switch lamps operation modes or a lamp fails. The projector’s hot-swap feature
allows the lamp not in operation to be replaced without powering down the projector
and while the other lamp is still on. Although it is recommended the projector be
turned off during lamp replacement, this feature benefits those critical applications
where downtime must be kept to an absolute minimum.
When do I replace a lamp?
Lamps that have shown a drastic reduction in
brightness or have reached their end of life
(approx 10000 hours for D120U and 2250
hours for D275U) should be replaced immediately. You can check the number of
hours each lamp has been in use by looking up the number of
LAMP HOURS
in
individual lamp submenus or in the
Status
menu
.
From the
Lamp
menu, you can also
set a
LAMP LIMIT
and enable the projector to send a warning message when it’s
powered on to indicate the lamps have reached their set limit.
