8.1.11 Hydraulic system
DANGER
Risk of a high pressure injection with hydraulic oil
When working on the hydraulic system of the freeze-dryer, or due to the
ageing of the hose lines, hydraulic oil may escape.
Due to the high pressure, the oil may penetrate the skin. This may lead to
severe injuries with the risk of embolism.
• Only qualified persons are authorised to perform work on the hydraulic
system of the freeze-dryer.
Have the hoses and screw fittings checked for leaks by a specialist at
regular intervals and replace them immediately if they are damaged.
Replace the hydraulic hose lines at appropriate intervals (depending on the
operating conditions and under consideration of the specifications and
recommendations of the manufacturer) even if no safety-relevant defects
can be noticed.

8.1.12 Vacuum sensor
NOTE
Please refer to the separate operating manual of the vacuum sensor!
The vacuum sensor has only a limited service life.
• The vacuum sensor is maintenance-free.
• Remove any soiling on the outside with a cloth.
Option: capacitive vacuum sensors
Measurement drift due to long-term use, soiling or sudden aeration may
occur.
• Capacitive vacuum sensors must be adjusted at least once per year.
Depending on the actual conditions of use, shorter adjustment intervals
may be necessary.
