A list of available Windows components will
display. The components that are checked are
installed. If "Internet Information Services" (See
Figure 29) is not checked, click the checkbox and
then click Next through the rest of the dialogs to
install it.
NOTE:
The checkbox will likely be grey which means that not
all components of IIS will be installed. This is
acceptable as only the default components are needed
for the CoPilot application.

Make sure Microsoft Service Pack 1 has been installed
on the system. This can be downloaded from the
following website:

Configure the website
•
Download zip files from www.chiefmfg.com. Click
on "download files" tab under "downloads." Scroll
down to CoPilot and follow instructions.

Run the setup.exe file in setup zip. Launch to
installer to install the CoPilot service.
•
Extract files from site files zip and save into
C:\inetpub\wwwroot. Create "copilot" directory
and save files there.
•
Right-click on "My Computer" and select
Manage. The computer management snap-in will
come up. Expand the "Services and Applications"
node, then the "Internet Information Services"
node, then the "Web Sites" folder. (See Figure
30)
•
Right-click on the "default web site" node and
select Properties. Click on the ASP.NET tab and
make sure that ASP-NET version 2.0.50727 is
selected (See Figure 31)

Right-click on "default web site" again and this
time select "New>Virtual Directory"
•
Click Next at the start of the wizard.
•
At "alias" prompt, input "copilot" than click Next.
•
Select the directory created to hold all of the
extracted website files. Click Next when
complete.
•
Right-click on the Copilot directory and scroll
down to "properties." Click on the documents tab
and then on "add." Type in default.aspx and
"apply."
NOTE:
Make sure "default.aspx" is at the top of the list of the
directory properties!
•
On the "Access Permissions" screen, make sure
the "read" and "run scripts" boxes are checked
and click Next.

Click Finish
