Install AVxVR Video Receiver
1.
Use retro ring template sheet (included with Raco® retro
ring packaging) to trace hole to be cut at desired mounting
locations. (See Figure 5)
IMPORTANT ! :
Ceiling card must be installed within 10’
of the projector so that the cables can be easily attached
from the card to the projector.
2.
Use drywall cutter to cut hole at marked location on ceiling
tile. (See Figure 5)

3.
Route two 50’ CAT5 cables and 18AWG wire through cut
hole. Route CAT5 cables to input wall box installation
locations and 18AWG wire to remote screen trigger
location. (See Figure 1)
NOTE:
Use cable labels to differentiate CAT5 cables from
each other as one will be used to connect the AVxVR
card to the AVMA and the other to the AVMV.
4.
Connect retro ring to electrical box outlet by removing two
screws from box and using those screws to connect ring to
box. (See Figure 6)

5.
Remove knockouts from electrical box and route CAT5
cables and remote screen trigger wire through holes.
IMPORTANT ! :
In order to comply with building codes, it
is highly recommended that a conduit and/or strain relief
clamps are used to route cables through electrical boxes.
6.
Place electrical box into ceiling hole and secure using retro
ring. Turn screws clockwise to extend work wings and
secure box to ceiling. (See Figure 7)

7.
Connect two 50’ CAT5e cables to back of AVxVR card. (See
Figure 8)
8.
Connect 18AWG wire to remote screen trigger location on
back of AVxVR card. (if applicable) (See Figure 8)
