4. Remove the lower front door of the trim-
mer and locate the loose photoelectric
sensor. Remove the nuts from the sen-
sor and push the sensor through the
split cap bushing in the left side of the
trimmer's base. Attach the sensor as
shown in Figure 2-10.

5. Move the trimmer in position against the
elevator, aligning the mounting brackets
on the elevator to the corresponding
holes in the side of the trimmer. Wait
until the trimmer height is set (Section
2.5 Trimmer ) before attaching the ele-
vator to the trimmer using mounting
hardware as shown in Figure 2-11.

2.4.1.3 Hookup Accessory Cables
Power and air cables must be connected to the
in-feed conveyor and elevator. Access the ca-
bles and hoses stored inside the machine
through the front door panel.
In-feed Conveyor
1. Unwrap the cables and air hose labeled
In-feed Conveyor.
2. Route the cables and hose behind the
hydraulic power unit and under the left-
hand side of the machine base.
3. Connect the yellow electrical cables to
the sockets on the backside of the in-
feed conveyor. Lock into place by
threading the connector collar onto the
socket.
4. Connect the yellow electrical cable from
the Cooling Elevator to the in-feed con-
veyor.
5. Connect the air hose with the red cap
into the fitting on the conveyor.
Cooling Elevator
1. Unwrap the cable and air hoses labeled
Cooling Elevator.
2. Route the cable and hoses behind the
hydraulic power unit and under the left-
hand side of the machine base.
3. Connect the yellow electrical cable to
the socket on the backside of the eleva-
tor. Lock into place by threading the
connector collar onto the socket.
4. Connect the air hose with the black cap
into the fitting on the elevator with black
label above it.
5. Connect the air hose with the yellow cap
into the fitting on the elevator with yellow
label above it.
2.4.2 Pile Feeder Option Setup
For the Book Pile Feeder option setup, consult
the instructions and parts manual supplied with
the Book Pile Feeder.
