Network Tools
The Network Tools function is an effective way of
seeing every device connected to a network and
which addresses are available. There are three tests
which you can perform, a network sniff test, a subnet
list and device pinging.
Start by connecting the test monitor to the network
switch with a patch lead to either network port 1 or 2.
Network Sniff Test
A network sniff test lists all currently active devices
operating on the network and displays the MAC and IP
address of each device. This is a great way to discover
devices when their address is not known.
To start the sniff test press the '
FOCUS +
' button.
The test monitor will then continuously listen to the
network and list active devices until the test is stopped.
To stop the test press the '
FOCUS +
' button again.
