Analogue Camera Test & RS485 Control
The Analogue Camera Test lets you view and control
analogue, HD-TVI, CVI and AHD cameras.
OSD configuration, camera movement and lens
adjustments can be controlled by RS485 commands
or by coaxial control on compatible HD-TVI, CVI and
AHD cameras.
Connecting Cameras
Analogue and HD cameras are both connected to the
'
Video In
' BNC socket on the top of the device. The
device will automatically switch to the correct format.
RS485 connections are made using the RS485 test
lead supplied with the LCD400K. The terminal block is
plugged into the RS485 socket on the right-hand side
of the test monitor and the clips are connected to the
camera's RS485 data wires.
Note:
RS485 wires and sockets are polarity sensitive. The
polarities of the LCD400K's RS485 socket are
labelled for convenience with the left terminal
being positive and the right terminal being
negative. When supplied the red clip of the RS485
test cable is positive and the black clip is negative.
12V DC cameras can also be powered by the test
monitor during testing.
Note:
For more information on powering cameras using
the LCD400K see page 11 - Powering Cameras.
