The drivers will be installed in the following paths.
For SLES:
/lib/modules/<version>/updates/qlgc-fastlinq
For RHEL and CentOS:
/lib/modules/<version>/extra/qlgc-fastlinq

Turn on all ethX interfaces as follows:
ifconfig <ethX> up
5.
For SLES, use YaST to configure the Ethernet interfaces to automatically
start at boot by setting a static IP address or enabling DHCP on the
interface.
Installing Linux Drivers Using the kmp/kmod RPM Package
To install kmod RPM package:
1.
Issue the following command at a command prompt:
rpm -ivh qlgc-fastlinq-<version>.<arch>.rpm
2.
Reload the driver:
modprobe -r qede
modprobe qede
Installing Ubuntu Linux Drivers
To install Ubuntu Linux drivers, issue the following command:
dpkg -i fastlinq-dkms_<version>_all.deb
Installing Linux Drivers Using the TAR File
To install Linux drivers using the TAR file:
1.
Create a directory and extract the TAR files to the directory:
tar xjvf fastlinq-<version>.tar.bz2
2.
Change to the recently created directory, and then install the drivers:
cd fastlinq-<version>
make clean; make install
The qed and qede drivers will be installed in the following paths.
For SLES:
/lib/modules/<version>/updates/qlgc-fastlinq
