Configuring the Initiator
To configure the initiator:
1.
Load the ib_iser module and confirm that it is loaded properly by issuing the
following commands:
#
sudo modprobe ib_iser
#
lsmod | grep ib_iser

Issue the following
iscsiadm
commands to discover the target and change
the transport mode to iSER.
#
iscsiadm -m discovery -t st -p 192.168.10.5:3260 -I iser
192.168.10.5:3260,1 iqn.2004-01.com.qlogic.iSERPort1.Target1
#
iscsiadm -m node -T iqn.2004-01.com.qlogic.iSERPort1.Target1
-o update -n iface.transport_name -v iser
3.
Log into the target device by issuing the following command:
#
iscsiadm -m node -l
Logging in to [iface: default, target:
iqn.2004-01.com.qlogic.iSERPort1.Target1, portal:
192.168.10.5,3260] (multiple)
Login to [iface: default, target:
iqn.2004-01.com.qlogic.iSERPort1.Target1, portal:
192.168.10.5,3260] successful.
4.
Verify that the LUNs are visible by issuing the following commands:
#
sudo apt-get install lsscsi
#
lsscsi
[1:0:0:0] cd/dvd hp DVD D DS8D9SH JHJ4 /dev/sr0
[2:0:0:0] disk HP LOGICAL VOLUME 4.68 /dev/sda
