Bearing Assembly Removal
and Installation

Remove the attachment from the truck as described in
Section 4.1.

Remove the drive group as described in Section 4.3-1
or 4.4-1.

14J Attachments – Remove
Drive Control Valve
from
baseplate. For reassembly, tighten the capscrews to
70 in.-lbs. (8 Nm).

Remove the upper mounting hooks. For reassembly,
tighten the capscrews to:
14J – 165 ft.-lbs. (225 Nm)
18J – 121 ft.-lbs. (165 Nm)

If equipped, remove the lower center spacer from the
baseplate. For reassembly, tighten the capscrews to
48 ft.-lbs. (65 Nm).

Remove end block bracket. For reassembly, tighten the
capscrews to:
14J – 28 ft.-lbs. (38 Nm)
18J – 9 ft.-lbs. (12 Nm)
