To activate this mode for any step in the stripping sequence programmed for normal
mode (orbiting blade ON), while in edit mode move the blue data highlight cursor over
the
HOLD
data field for the desired step. If the
HOLD
data field is OFF, turn it ON by
pressing the
key. Next, enter the desired
HOLD
value if not already present.
An alternate use for this data field is as the
CUT
depth of the gripper blades when the
strip step is set for gripper blades only strip mode (orbiting blade is turned OFF). When
set for this mode, the
HOLD
data controls the diameter the gripper blades close to
during the cut portion of the strip step, and the
PULL
data controls the diameter the
gripper blades are positioned to during the slug removal (pull-off or stripping) portion of
the strip step.
If this data field is set to OFF (indicated by a series of dashes being displayed in the
data field), the
CUT
data field is automatically forced to the ON position. Make sure
when changing this field to the OFF position that the data programmed in the
CUT
data
field is correct.
See the section detailing the
CUT
data parameter and the
HOLD
data parameter,
– Special Function Programming – Gripper Blades Only Strip Mode, for more
information on this data field
Note
: At least one of either the
CUT
or
HOLD
data fields,
or both, must be ON for each step of the strip sequence.
