3. The
x Step
field is used to set the number of stripping steps in a stripping cycle.
The maximum number of steps is five. The minimum number of steps is one.
To set the number of steps, highlight the
x Step
data field by moving the blue
data highlight cursor over the field, using the four arrow keys.
When the
x Step
field is highlighted by the cursor, press
. The Model 75
GUI will display a graphic representation of the five possible
x Step
options. See
Figure 4-3 below. To the left side of the display there will be a blue arrow
pointing to the currently selected number of steps.

To select a different number of strip steps, point the blue arrow to the desired
selection by moving it using the
or
keys. When finished, press
.
The display will return to the edit screen and will be reconfigured for the new
number of steps selected.
4. The
UNITS
field allows the operator to set the programming units in inches
(displayed as
IN
) or millimeters (displayed as
MM
). To edit, highlight the
UNITS
data field by moving the blue data highlight cursor over the field, using the four
arrow keys.
To toggle the selection, press
when the field is highlighted by the cursor.
The data will be converted and redisplayed in the new
UNITS
format. It should
be noted that the
GUIDE
data field (see below) unit of measure is programmed
separately from the overall program unit of measure (
UNITS
) setting. This is due
to the fact that a metric-sized guide bushing may be used for a cable setup in
