INTRODUCTION
This chapter describes how to disassemble
and reassemble the EtCO
2
Module.
For more efficient repair, read the “Principles
of Operation” chapter for information on the
mechanical and electrical functions of the
EtCO
2
Module.
The surface mount devices on the circuit
boards are not field repairable. Return
circuit boards to an authorized Cardinal
Health Service Center for repair. Attempting
circuit board repairs voids all warranties.
Whenever the EtCO
2
Module is repaired,
perform the minimum tests required for new
instrument checkout (use Maintenance
Software v
7
or later).
For information on replacement parts, see
the “Illustrated Parts Breakdown” chapter.
Following any level of maintenance, perform
the applicable tests (refer to “Level of
Testing Guidelines” table).
