Light Weight Media Kit
•
Enables support of validated media with a paper weight as low as
12 lb bond/30 lb text (45 g/m
2
).
•
Supports paper sizes up to 13.8” x 19.7” (350 mm x 500 mm).
•
The varioPRINT 6000 TP TITAN and varioPRINT 6000 MICR TITAN are
not supported.
•
Light weight media (less than 60 g/m
2
) is supported with the Paper Input
Module, High Capacity Stacker and Tecnau DocuSheeter Feeder (Roll
Feeder). All other accessories are not supported.
•
Canon USA Recommends feeding Light Weight Media from the Roll
Feeder or the nearest Paper Input module to the varioPRINT 6000 TITAN
Series digital press.
IMPORTANT
•
The installation of the Light Weight Media Kit requires a main engine
hardware modification by the service technician.
•
The Light weight media kit cannot be disabled by the customer once
installed.
•
The Light Weight Media TTF Belts are required to print light weight
media.
•
Refer to the Technical Service Manual for additional details.

Media Enhancement Module
•
Prevents heavy coated media from sticking together (due to the
temperature of the sheets) when stacked in the High Capacity Stacker.
•
The module cools the heavy coated sheets as they exit the varioPRINT
6000 TITAN Series.
•
Settings include:
•
Always on – All sheets go through the cooling process.
•
Always off – All sheets bypass the cooling process.
•
Automatic – When coated media is selected the Media Enhancement
Module cools coated media with a weight above 100 g/m
2
. All
other
sheets bypass the cooling process.
•
Cannot be installed with the Print Guard IV.
