The following is a table of remedies to provide in response to a service error code:
• Increase the Transmission Level
Set service data
# 2 MENU parameter No. 07
to
‘-8’
(dBm).
• Decrease the Transmission Level
Reset service data
#2 MENU parameter No. 07
to
‘-15’
(dBm).
• Measures Against Echoing
Change the following bits of service data
#1 SSSW SW03
as follows:
bit 4
®
1:
ignore the first DIS signal from the other party.
®
0:
do not ignore the first DIS signal from the other party.
bit 5
®
1:
transmit a tonal signal (1850 or 1650 Hz) in response to a DIS signal for
the other party.
®
0:
do not transmit a tonal signal (1850 or 1650 Hz) in response to a DIS
signal from the other party.
bit 6
®
1:
if bit 5 is set to ‘1’, transmit a tonal signal (1850 Hz).
®
0:
if bit 5 is set to ‘1’, transmit a tonal signal (1650 Hz).
bit 7
®
1:
transmit a tonal signal before sending a CED signal.
®
0:
do not transmit a tonal signal before sending a CED signal.
• EPT (Echo Protect Tone)
Change bit 1 of service data
#1 SSSW SW03.
bit 1
®
1:
transmit EPT.
®
0:
do not transmit EPT.
• Adjust the NL equalizer.
Set service data
#2 MENU parameter No. 05
to
‘ON’.
• Decrease the transmission start speed.
Lower the transmission start speed using the Communications setting (System setting).
• Make TCF evaluation standard lenient.
The Board does not provide this remedy.
• Make RTN transmission conditions lenient.
Change service data
#3 NUMERIC Param.
parameters No. 02 through No. 04.
No. 02
Error rate for tonal lines: use setting closer to 99%
No. 03
Number of lines for burst: use setting closer to 99 lines.
No. 04
Number of errors not reaching the number of lines for burst: use setting
closer to 99.
• Make the no-sound period after CFR reception longer.
Set service data
#1 SSSW SW04
bit 4 to
‘1’
.
Bit 4
®
1:
after CFR transmission, ignore low-speed signal for 1500 msec.
®
0:
after CFR transmission, ignore low-speed signal for 700 msec.
