In addition, you must enter any necessary dialing prefixes. For
example, in some businesses, dialing 9 before the phone number
may be necessary to obtain an outside line. Thus you would enter
the fax number as 9xxx-xxxx; where xxx-xxxx is the phone
number.
• If you have a MAPI compliant e-mail application installed on
your system (as described earlier in this chapter), you can use the
e-mail address to transmit a document as an e-mail message.
4. Specify your Send As setting. Click Fax if you want to send the
document as a fax; otherwise, click Email.
5. Process the job.
• Click Send Now to send the fax now. The fax document is sent to
the Outbox until it is transmitted. Once transmission is complete,
the fax is moved to the Sent Faxes folder.
• Click Send Later to schedule the fax for sending later. Send Later
is only available for faxes.
• Click Hold to store the fax until you decide to send or delete it.
Held faxes are stored in the Outbox. Any fax information you
specified is preserved.
If you clicked Send Later, to schedule the fax:
In the Send Later dialog box, select the desired date and time.
The fax is sent to the Outbox folder for processing at the specified date
and time.
