RX SETTINGS
Name Description Settings
ECM RX Enable/disable error correction during reception. ON/OFF
RX MODE Set the receive mode. You can also set the receive mode with
the RECEIVE MODE button. See Chapter 6 for more details.
If you set Fax/Tel mode, you can select the options below.
NET.SWITCH is only available for Australia and New Zealand. FAX ONLY MODE/Fax/
Tel Mode/MANUAL
MODE/ANS. MACHINE
MODE/NET. SWITCH*
If you have set Fax/Tel Mode, set the following options that control how the FAX-L250 handles incoming calls.
RING START TIME Set the duration that the FAX-L250 listens for a fax tone
before starting to ring. 8 seconds (00 to 30)
F/T RING TIME Set the length of time the FAX-L250 will ring to alert you of an
incoming call. 22 seconds (1 to 300)
F/T SWITCH ACTION Select the action taken after the F/T RING TIME expires. RECEIVE/DISCONNECT
INCOMING RING When the FAX-L250 is set to FAX ONLY MODE, set the
FAX-L250 to ring when it receives a call.** ON/OFF
RING COUNT Set the number of incoming rings before the FAX-L250
answers. 2 times (1 to 99)***
ANS/FAX SWITCH Enable/disable whether the FAX-L250 automatically switches
to fax receive mode if a period of silence is detected after
answering the call. ON/OFF
ANS/FAX SW TIME Set the duration of silence the FAX-L250 listens for to
determine if a fax is coming in. 6 seconds (1 to 99)
MAN/AUTO SWITCH Determine if the FAX-L250 switches to document receive
mode after the FAX-L250 rings for a specified time when the
FAX-L250 is in MANUAL MODE. ON/OFF
RING TIME Set the amount of time the FAX-L250 will ring before switching
to document receive mode. 15 seconds (1 to 99)
REMOTE RX Allows you to dial a number code on the remote extension to
start receiving a document. ON/OFF
REMOTE RX ID If you set REMOTE RX ON, you can change the remote
receiving ID. 25 (00 to 99, and #
included)
MEMORY RX Turn on/off memory receiving of a document. ON/OFF
(Default settings are shown in bold type)

Zealand only).

Even if you have set INCOMING RING to ON, the FAX-L250 will only ring if you have connected the optional
handset or a telephone.
