When the waste toner container nears capacity, the message <Waste toner is near
full. Printing is still possible.> appears on the touch panel display. In this case, you
should prepare a new waste toner container.
Even if you do not replace the waste toner container immediately, you can perform
printing for a while.
When the waste toner container is full, the message <Waste toner is full.> appears
on the touch panel display. Follow the label instruction on inside of front cover or the
manuals to replace the waste toner container.

Do not burn or throw u s ed toner cartrid g e s into open flame s , a s thi s may cau s e
the toner remainin g in s ide the cartrid g e s to i g nite, re s ultin g in burn s or a fire.

Do not s tore toner cartrid g e s or paper in place s expo s ed to open flame s , a s thi s
may cau s e the toner or paper to i g nite, re s ultin g in burn s or a fire.

If you accidentally s pill or s catter toner, carefully g ather the toner particle s
to g ether or wipe them up with a s oft, damp cloth in a way that prevent s
inhalation.

s e a vacuum cleaner that doe s not have s afe g uard s a g ain s t du s t
explo s ion s to clean up s pilled toner. Doin g s o may cau s e a malfunction in the
vacuum cleaner, or re s ult in a du s t explo s ion due to s tatic di s char g e.
CAUTION
•
Keep toner out of the reach of s mall children. If toner i s in g e s ted, con s ult a
phy s ician immediately.

Take care not to allow toner to come into contact with your hand s or clothin g . If
toner g et s onto your hand s or clothin g , wa s h it off immediately with cold water.
Wa s hin g with warm water may s et the toner permanently, makin g the s tain s
impo ss ible to remove.

When di s cardin g u s ed toner cartrid g e s , put the cartrid g e s in a ba g to prevent
the toner remainin g in s ide the cartrid g e s from s catterin g , and di s po s e of them
in a location away from open flame s .

Use only toner cartridges intended for use with the machine. (See “Consumables,” on
p. 5-18.)
