3. If the rib wears out and the sheet hits the bent portion of the sensor holder, replace the old type 
sensor holder [A] with the new type [B] by following the procedure from step 4 below. The new type 
has the plate [d] added to cover the bent part [b] of the sensor holder. This prevents sheets from 
being caught by the bent part even if the rib wears. In the case where the sheet does not hit the 
bent portion [b] of the sensor holder, the cause of jam may be different from the case described in 
this FAQ. Check other factors. 

 

4. Remove 2 screws, and take out the sensor holder [2] together with the sensor plate from the 
multi paper pick-up assembly. 

 

5. Remove 1 screw, and separate the sensor holder [2] from the sensor plate [4] carefully so that 
the sensor harness is not trapped.
