Symptom 

Toner adheres to the  leading edge of paper because of the deformed guide stopper of the 

pre-transfer charging assembly.

Description

   

In the machines having serial numbers earlier than below, toner adhered to the leading edge of paper, 
causing soiled image.

Cause

   

The guide stopper [2] of the pre-transfer charging assembly [1] was deformed, causing the pre-transfer 
guide [3] to slip out of the normal position and become closer to the ETB [a]. As a result, the toner on the 
surface of the ETB adhered to the pre-transfer guide, and thus the leading edge of paper was soiled.
